Shin-Etsu Silicones is a brand name of Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd, which has production and sales bases in more than 10 countries. Japan and Thailand are its main production bases,and AZ Science is expanding our business in those two countries, too.
Shin-Etsu Silicone has over 5,000 products, which are used in a wide variety of fields including healthcare, chemicals, electricity and electronics, automobiles, architecture, cosmetics, and foods.
We launched our business with the aim of expanding sales of silicone products used in research and development fields in Thailand from a new perspective, even though Shin-Etsu Silicones is already well-known for raw materials for manufacturing.

◎Silicone fluids
Silicone fluids are generally clear and transparent liquids. Silicone fluids are resistant to water and a wide range of temperatures, have little effect on viscosity,

◎Modified Silicone Fluids
Modified silicone fluids are silicone fluids with functions added to common dimethyl silicone fluids through the addition of various organic groups.
The properties of modified silicone fluids include water solubility, reactivity, or compatibility with various organic materials, greater lubricity and paintability.

◎Greases and oil compounds
Silicone greases are products with base oils of silicone fluid compounded with thickening agents and other adhesives.
Silicone greases can provide lubrication and adhesion, which can be used on moving parts because of thermal oxidation stability and water resistance.
Silicone oil compounds are greasy and are produced by compounding with fillers such as silica powder or metallic oxides into a base oil of silicone fluid.

◎Release agents
As mentioned in the introduction of silicone oil products, silicone has extremely low surface tension and spreads easily, so it wets finely uneven surfaces well and is chemically stable with excellent heat and cold resistance regardless of the molding materials. Because silicone can be used over a wide temperature range, silicone can perform well as a mold-release agent in several industries, including the resin industry, rubber industry, food processing industry, and die casting. There are many types of silicone mold-release agents such as emulsions, fluid types, solvent types, bake-on types, and sprays.

◎Silane coupling agents
Silane coupling agents are compounds of molecules which contain more than two functional groups bonding with both organic and inorganic materials. A silane coupling agent plays the role of intermediary in bonding organic materials to inorganic materials, which are useful as additive compounds for resin modification, coating agents, and surface treatment agents of fillers and inorganic materials. A silane coupling agent can improve the properties of heat resistance, weatherability, water resistance, durability of resin, adhesion, alkali-proof, dispersibility, hydrophobicity, flowability, highly filling and anti-rusting.
